The Stars and the Cookie Jar

I would love to say I've been industriously packing, but I've actually been recovering from working 30 hours in the past three days. (On the plus side, scorching OT!)

Fearless Leader took me to lunch today, to say farewell; I will see him Monday, but they're packing him off to Montgomery after that. I nearly cried at the thought.

He's the only sane manager I've ever had with the Company, and a great manager-coach-mentor. The problem is, they're sending him to do that for someone else in the remote market. (sob)

And I'm trying to think of a character to be in Milliways' Bar. As I discussed with rymenhild , finding a character I'd love to act like is not hard; finding one whose voice I can write, and consistently nail in writing, is another. So maybe I'll just read the group. :)

And now I have to go pack some boxes. At least two. Oh, I'm tired.

And I have made my decision regarding surgery. You will all hate it, scream, and try to smite me. Sorry, but it's not up for debate. All I see, in my mind, is a coin flying up into the air, somersaulting and flipping and coming to land...

Oh, and I sent 'Dramatis Personae' -- this would be the 'dead maskmaker het' -- to Not One of Us, a very cool 'zine which I have for some time admired. (I even occasionally buy one.)

I have written to villainny as to the possibility of my gaining entry to the smoky and genteel warrens of Milliway's Bar!
