1. COMPUTER SCARE OMG.

There comes a time in every selkie's life when she must panic, weep, smack the desk, and frantically boot from CD-ROM when her craptop decides to announce OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND HA HA HA HA HA, BITCH.

The selkie starts to hyperventilate and think What if Sonya doesn't, in fact, have everything I've ever put in this hunk of silicon?

That's over now. I have GMailed myself the relevant files, and spent a soothing hour stroking Jean-Pierre the existentialist snail. (Bracingly slimy plush toys available from your local Selkies R Us.)

2. THE RPG THAT ATE MANHATTAN, FINISHED WITH THAT, AND DEVOURED MY LIFE

[livejournal.com profile] milliways_bar , y'all.

I play as [livejournal.com profile] kassandraloxias , who has so far met the reincarnation of Helen, diced with Fate, made googly eyes at Lucifer, been responsible for serious carnality, swapped poetry with Beatrice from Much Ado,  mocked the shite out of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, watched Tom Riddle suck face with the Lady Door, fallen asleep on Sirius Black's sweater, and greeted Death.

And made friends out of character, may I add.

There has been mention of Kassandra's backstory being a Plot, but. But. I don't -- shut up, guys -- I really don't know if I could RP that. Or I could RP it and throw up. I really want to ask "Gah, don't you guys know Kassandra's backstory?" but that might be missing the point.

I still don't think I can do it.

::wanders off to read 'When You Came To Troy'::

::realises her copy of City Slab has been packed and shipped::

::begs for an emailed copy::

::don't these thingies get annoying??::

3. EVERETT, JAMES AND THE FACT THAT THANK GOD, I HAD THAT [SEX ] SCENE IN A NOTEBOOK WHEN MY COMPUTER WENT DOWN

...I write too much damn porn.

selkie: (pride)
And I lost some of my opiate-fic when my computer crashed, and I'm pissed.

Today was fun. Cardio appt, yes (he had a cancellation, the Grand High Mighty Heart Poobah) but also a nice lunch (Lebano-Greco-French) with actual living friend from work, and then two superbly nice threads at Milliways'.

...And you want to talk opium?

I'm going to go read Agamemnon now.
