The Stars and the Cookie Jar

We had a splendid time at sanj's birthday geekout. There was so much esoterica and dorkery.

Now we are at tobyfan's house, and the others are watching the tea vee. I do not partake of this tea vee, although I hear tomorrow there shall be a programme on Pompeii on the Discovery Channel. Perhaps I shall view it, if I can learn the workings of the re-moat. The film they're all gawping at now features a psychotic daddy and therefore makes me beyond uncomfortable. Don't worry, I have a book.

Am questing after other grownup jobs. Wish me luck. Also, donate your size-24 business attire. To where, you ask? To me!


And my beloved feels better, a bit. This is good for so many reasons.

Forgot to mention, we had shabbes dinner in our new home together, with guests, and it went well. I managed to buck the genetic trend and only have leftovers of the lemon green beans and the tzimmes. We also had scalloped potatoes, mozzarella-tomato-onion salad, and challah, and apparently the vegetarians present were happy. I made kiddush over, um, a jelly glass with a dragonfly on it. Note self, acquire kiddush cup maybe.

I may start taking Hebrew classes from the USDA -- yeah, don't ask, I don't know why they do -- as they are cheap.

And wedding plans proceed apace.
