I am finishing the Victorian opium fic, hopefully today.

I also drafted three pages of something else in the bus yesterday on the way to Reston, and I'm going to continue in my policy of not saying much more about that until it's done, because I find that telling people about what I'm doing, and responding to their reactions and expectations, is what spoils the pictures for me. Not anybody's fault. Just a quirk of the way I do the craft.

I really, really need to go to a fabric store and get some summer coverings for my hair. I should probably ask the newly-married penmage for the latest fashionable suggestions. *points and squees at her* Work has to be black or white, but there's no detail on what I'm allowed to do with the black. Maybe I'll just cash in all my credibility chips and get something in a nice zebra.

In conclusion, my publisher is welcome to make my day by buying the Victorian opium fic for Jabberwocky, which he knows he wants to do. If he's not sure he wants to do that, he can talk to sovay, who has just laid in a supply of especially big sticks.

Oh, and I'm in the best mood this morning.
