I had such a hard time getting up this morning. So did everyone else in the office, it became clear, but I have to be here first...

The weather is cruddy, as is seems to be all along the Eastern Seaboard.

Tomorrow: furniture-moving, groceries, haircut, and cooking while N goes to the curling club to do whatever it is they do there. Then a Halloween party. Then crashing!

Sunday: lunch with [livejournal.com profile] tobyfan.

The cooking will be extensive, as I want to do biscuits (sugar with coloured icing or peanut-butter blossoms) for the Halloween party, and a baking of bread, some ice cream for Sunday lunch, and the prep work for the chicken I'm roasting. I might also, depending on the hideous price of meat in this city, do beef braised in tomato with some celery and onion and stuff, for the week ahead. Because Lean Cuisine In A Bag is charming, but we had it already this week.

And I think for a digestif on Thanksgiving I want to try cranberry-orange sorbet in clementine shells. How pretentious is our little selkie chef? Oh, very.

But you were the ones foolish enough to give me the Cuisinart Walk-Away-Cos-It's-Smarter-Than-You ice-cream maker.
