The Stars and the Cookie Jar

Let's see. We:

-- mailed my mother and sister's holiday gifts

-- picked up a lovely-looking nebbiolo for my mother in law and some moscato for ourselves (I was a model of restraint and put down the demi-bouteille of Sauternes. Because I wanted a bar of dark chocolate with walnuts, honey dried plums, and cardamom)

-- Shared a chicken salad sandwich

-- went to the Crate and Barrel outlet for a fundraiser and met fafou and jgesteve

-- went to Paint This! and painted two ornaments and a dreidel, which will be glazed and fired by someone with more fire safety skills and then picked up on Saturday

-- went to La Madeleine for dinner (despite a very sad bread situation, I had a tartine with indecent quantities of apricot-Seville orange jam)

-- went to one craft store for stickers and peppermint oil

-- went to another craft store to pick out paints, little ceramic ornaments and slightly larger cast-resin houses

-- painted aforementioned little houses (mine is going to my grandmother as a holiday present)

-- ate supper at 11:00
