selkie at 09:46pm on 17/08/2007I came rather late to American "pop" culture, so despite having grown up at the dizzying height of cartoon kitsch (the middle Eighties), I don't have a lot of the television and film references other people do. I don't even know that I can come up with ten things. Here goes!
1. "I'll tax the life out of those insolent... musical peasants."
2. "Life is pain! Anyone who says differently is selling something."
3. "When they see us coming, the birdies all try an' hide, /But they still go for peanuts when coated with cyanide."
4. "If I wring little necks, surely I will get an acquittal."
5. "Please pack your knives and go."
6. "If you use a non-stick pan, it won't stick!"
7. "We're trying to get Randy to come out!" "Randy already is out, Mrs. Dean!"
8."Dessine-moi un Mouton!"
9. "The Magic has come and done it, Becky, while we were asleep—the Magic that won't let those worst things ever quite happen."
10. "I must keep in good health and not die."
