The Stars and the Cookie Jar

...This is a really good day for riding, actually. It's a shame my fiancee doesn't ride. I don't know how I'm any good at riding, seeing as how I'm built like a cherimoya on chess pawns, but I enjoy it on days like this one. It's windy and still cool enough that you can ignore the scent of horse and sweaty tack, and it's sunny and warm enough that you don't freeze if you go for a bunch of jumps. Even Ka-thump ka-thump ka-thump creak! Whump!* is bearable in this nice bucolic niceness.

I am staring at the most jumbled set of history books ever slapped on a shelf. 'The British Milennium', 'IBM and the Holocaust', 'Mapping the Silk Road and Beyond'. Um. Alpha by... author's cousin's last name?
