So, I learned that even when we have horrible, bleached-rage fights, we can discuss things and go back to being us again. And maybe I'm more fiscally adult, but there are things I haven't learned to be adult at yet. And she's good for those things. We spent tonight together watching My Big Fat Greek Wedding, and it just reminded me (I'm not used to mass media yet, and sometimes it gives me revelations, like I'm Anya on Buffy) that this is the woman I love and we're going to get married, and it's not easy, but I'm learning. We're learning. And someday soon it's going to be the night before my wedding and I'm going to be excited, and apprehensive, and terrified, but sure that I couldn't spend my life without this woman, and nor would I want to.

Tomorrow after work we're going to Alexandria to consider wedding invitations.

And then maybe TJ Maxx or the Glebe Road Goodwill to consider wedding dresses.

I'm so glad. Partly for you, because that sounds to my untrained ear like a good thing, and partly because I always find it oddly reassuring to know that people really do make up after fights.

Want my copy of The Book. *glares at the slow post office*

I second those thoughts. Learning to fight and make up and go on is one of the most important parts of relationships - and especially living-together relationships, because with more distant ones you can sometimes just wait out the anger.

Where the fuck are my books? Or, at least, where's the bill so I can send the money and get 'em?

Jeanelle,

I'm uncertain of live journal niceties, so I apologize if this is an inappropriate place to say, hey you, but this is Maria Papanastassiou (ex-Starfuck). I just finished reading WeetzieBat last night and thought of you and thus, you were googled. I was excited to see you've written a book! I'll have to get my paws on it (when I have a bit more cash). I'd love to know how you are doing. I'm in California and my number is (510) 229-8925. Give me a ring or shoot me an email mpapanice2cu@yahoo.com

Hope you are well,

Maria
