So, I went to Vegas. And EVERYONE was in Vegas. It was a byzantine plot.

What does Selkie do in Vegas? Well, aside from aquire blisters, have a really good time. There was a spa, and there were little baby lions, and we stayed in a pyramid. And my love is one lucky hot gambler! And there was a spa. And it was all so tacky. And there were buffets, and it was tacky. And next door was the Excalibur, where we did NOT see the Thunder Down Under. And there's still so much left to do that we have to go back. I didn't have time to do very much.

I met [livejournal.com profile] sir_gareth and I met [livejournal.com profile] ms_ntropy, and [livejournal.com profile] tenillypo, and [livejournal.com profile] vivien529, and [livejournal.com profile] silveraspen, and [livejournal.com profile] minor_blue, and [livejournal.com profile] pat_trick, and [livejournal.com profile] bansidhe. And Stampy makes 11. We were Stampy's Eleven. So.

I accidentally burned my feet. Twice. But there was some really really wonderful sushi, and then tonight, right before we left, the best meal that I have had in the continental United States. And I found out that I love spas. Also, I had nowhere near enough time to go around with the group and do everything, so I guess we just have to go back. We still need to see the Bellagio and Sigfried and Roy's Big Gay Animal Park and the Parisian and the Stratosphere and I forget what else. And I'm torn whether I want to stay next time in the Bellagio, the Venetian, or the Excalibur. 'Cause the last one has Krispy Kreme. [Ed. note: so does the Venetian.] Okay, so the last one has skee ball. And now my pretty pretty princess and I head home in the plane. We get to watch videos on the plane. Because this is the 21st century. And I had lots of Pinot Noir at dinner.

It sounds like you had a very fine time, miss. I thought about you while you were gone - a couple poems I read this week reminded me of you, somehow, even though I don't know you at all. And now I have to ask: How did you burn your feet?

I burned my feet walking on the pool deck at noon. Not like we were in a desert, or anything. :-) It was really quite dumb.

I've burnt my feet walking barefoot, myself, and it's not a bit of fun. The time I walked over hot coals, I didn't burn my feet at all, but hot concrete or asphalt will get me every time.

Not the Excaliber. At least, I wouldn't. Because I have, and it was very eh. But, I would probably to go the Star Trek thing, so...
I shall not get over the envy and "if only." I just shan't. Because, y'all were within scant miles of here. *Sob*

Come back soon, dammit!
