I'll start by spoiling you ALL. The half-blood prince? is TREVOR.
Yeah, see how that's so wrong, but no less plausible than what actually happened?
So, I liked the book. I'm a little disappointed that it didn't take me more than 4 hours to finish, because it was an expensive book. Incidently, I now have an extra copy, because I'm done with it, and if you legitimately cannot afford your own, etc etc blahdeeblah, first impoverished commentator has an even shot. I mean, I could capriciously decide that I still want it, or I could give it to my fiancee's cute cousins. But if I don't do that. So, overall I liked it, except that I think that Rowling hasn't really grown out of herself, and I think she's trying to tell the Iliad and the Odyssey at the same time. I thought Harry was still an idiot, but at least he's not a capslocked idiot. I mostly liked Dumbledore. I thought some of his dialogue was out of character. And I really don't understand why Harry's best friends happen to be Ron and Hermione, when there have got to be more interesting people at that school, because Ron and Hermione spend the whole book wangsting. As far as Rowling's relationship choices in the book... ew ew ew and wrong and EW. Overall, worth two out of four hours spent reading. Proportion of life sucked away, not bad. However, she's running out of time.

(no subject)
but....
Jesus if this was book 1, the contract for book 2 would never have been signed.
