...Actually, I wound up disappointed with Auriel Rising. The atmospheric bleak just never, never let up, and the ending was just a crap thing to do after all that bleak. No one got anything they wanted -- which I suppose is the point of life, but not of $8 novels.
Also, the Earl of Northumberland was described as a 'predatory homosexual'. Puhlease. I mean, even if he did have bum-boys, so did everybody. Social convention!
So, in summary, I need more stuff to read, and tomorrow I get paid. I'll have a little left to spare after I pay my half of the rent, and we'll see whether I get shoes, a bag or books with it. I really sort of need a bag, and within a month I'll need shoes, but I have lots of time on the train and the bus. So I also need books.
