The Stars and the Cookie Jar

There was an obscene amount of Ikea this weekend. Mock if you will! We went round with a friend and had a good time, in spite of the crowding. Got knives, food containers, a dish-strainer, tumblers, new sheets for the new bed, a coffee table, a side table and a little stand meant to store linens. Also food, including apple cake that made me so nostalgic I had a huge panic attack.

Yes, I'm weird.

Oh! And a stuffed rat I'm calling Hunca Munca. It would have been Melchisedec but she's obviously a female stuffed rat.

I'm finding that the beauty of weekends is that you're required to do nothing in particular. We ordered Chinese takeaway, miraielle came over and we watched Buffy and Angel, we desultorily read the Sunday color funnies and the Target advert, and then suddenly it was 9PM and time to go get the laundry out of the dryer.

And tonight we're going out, and tomorrow we're going out, and the wonderful thing is that I have all this energy for going out.

One woeful note: our Flexcar seems to have gone missing.
