So! Account supposedly all set now... except. No one can solve the mystery of the disappearing, never-appearing, not-at-all-reappearing cheques. The transactions should have just hit a wall and bounced, if they were going to have bounced, not vanished into the Bankmuda Triangle. I am bemused that no one can figure this one out.

Suggestions include 'Well, I'd advise ordering some new cheques with the Bank of America logo just in case any banks are declining Fleet cheques and account format.'

....Didn't you swear to me several times in writing when you merged with my bank that that was not going to be an issue? Argh.

Some other time, remind me to tell you about how my aunts went over our heads and planned a wedding reception. An hour away from the ceremony site. With provisions for half the number of guests we've planned.

Yuh.

Wheeeee! This is like me and the phone company. They can't unblock my access to long distance. Ever. No matter who tries. They've tried like 40 things, but somehow "no long distance" is hard-coded into my account, surviving number changes and moves.

Dude. This happened to you, too? It happened to [livejournal.com profile] navelofwine two years ago, over a check I wrote to her. Fleet and Sovereign each separately claimed it was the other bank's responsibility.

Yes, and they're still honoring some checks I write and not others, and no one knows why. *sigh*
