The Stars and the Cookie Jar

I think you have to have a little misery in your life to write properly. I've just come to this conclusion, I've entered the creative stagnation of a happy life. Yes, I see my comma splice. I'm just bored and lethargic enough not to go back and fix it.

Wedding stress is leading to strange dreams. Now we just have to figure out to whom we owe what, and finalise the catering menu, and meet with the officiating minister about the ceremony, and hear back from people, and and and. I have this nightmare that no one is going to show up. Or that everyone is going to show up, which is good and great but would be unexpected considering that some of our invites are going halfway across the world and we would be beyond delighted but how would we *feed* everyone? And I need to order the dinnerware and I need to book dining for the honeymoon and I need to figure out what we're even doing for the latter half of our honeymoon besides 'come home and chill', and...

Oh. And my bank. My bank is mystifying all involved at this point, even the enraged proprietor of the Korean market downstairs. "Two checks bounce! One go through! I deposit them same day! What your bank's problem?"

Dude, I wish I knew.

Also, no sign of my new debit card, and no more comfort from Customer 'Service' than 'I'm sorry, ma'am, that should have arrived Wednesday at the latest. I can put a block on the card and send you a new one...'

I just really hoped to go into the weekend with access to my money.
