Great film, Alfonso!

*thud*

What's this, you cross past twenty-five and all post-midnight endeavours are suddenly a bad idea?

(she jokes. halfway through she commented on how well MN did at matching AC's style in the movie. Which... well, imo, was more a matter of it again being a kind of more dark and serious movie and that lending itself to the style instead of it actually being in line with the style. Er. yes. 3.30. I sleep now.)

Alfonso Cuaron's visual style was very strongly present in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, so that it looked fantastically like the last one even though Mike Newell was directing this time out.

I guess I was aware of that on some level. I was far more attuned to Chris Columbus's style being totally absent (::sigh of relief::) and the kids' notably improved acting skills (::rupert gets a cookie::).

It took you until you were after 25 before that post-midnight endeavours became a bad idea?

Admittedly, that only stopped me this year, when the midnight-opening night for Episode III was two nights after my surgery.
