Well, bread could be slang. And if I rob a bank I only have to commit a crime once, as opposed to every time I need bread, which could get tiresome and somewhat annoying for the police. :D

I think Sam is right-- more efficient taking money-- it's just, to be honourable about it, you should only SPEND it on bread.

Dunno about it being annoying to the police, though-- you're their bread and butter, so to speak. Annoying to the baker, more like.
