...I got here forty-five minutes early, around 7:55, due to the traffic that wasn't anywhere. I imagine there's traffic now, cos no one else is here, but I pottered around cleaning up the office kitchen (continually overrun by wild pigs, much as I love my coworkers), ate my breakfast, drank hot chocolate, cleaned up after myself and then mailed a bunch of stuff before sitting down at my computer at 8:23. I like being here nearly on my own, but I have a feeling it's going to make it a long, slow Monday.

Next time, we will know to keep the scrapey thing for the snow not-in-the-trunk. And possibly have a spare one in the house where there is no snow.

I am wearing a t-shirt with words on it, my hair is pulled back, my jeans are too long and I have the world's largest pimple (from a weekend spent enjoyably, cooking and baking). We were turned out of the apartment into the snow this weekend on account of a false fire alarm.

Clearly, I have fallen down a worm-hole and back to college. Except for the whole having a 9-to-6 job and [livejournal.com profile] sovay not living down the corridor.

I may have to second that. Wow. Just tell me if you hear any strange noises in the pipes . . .

We always have strange noises in the bathroom pipes. It's a feature of the building -- which is also very dormlike just in general.

For cover art on Seal Wife, should the licensing gods fail us on the Susan Seddon Boulet front, I thought of using some sea-photography interspersed with that painting I use for the Seal Wife LJ icon? Whose name I forget. Miranda, I think.

John William Waterhouse's Miranda - The Tempest. I can hardly complain about redheaded pre-Raphaelites.
