The Stars and the Cookie Jar

...Lord, my mind is the refuge of some high-quality thought right now, let me tell you.

I did have a good discussion with Intellectual Chewie Toy Webmaster about whether it's better to go do something small but concrete, like join Medecins sans Frontieres and treat twenty Ebola patients at hideous personal risk, or to go to work every day and be a cog in a larger machine that enables the economy to run and provide third-world countries and disenfranchised peoples with aid. This is something I imagine friede would have a good answer to.

In the end I wonder if we weren't both just comforting ourselves. But it was a good discussion.

...I too have dreams; maybe not as grand as yours, or hard to understand as yours, but nonetheless my dreams...

Although right now all I'm dreaming about is getting out of here for the weekend.
