Saturday: made cheesecake. Damn good cheesecake.
Sunday: Went to church with wife. Explored Presbyterianism. Received loaf of bread from kindly Presbyterians, the better to start my Monday morning off with some tasty Jesus Chow. May go back next Sunday, even sans promise of tasty bread.
Went to dim sum for the first time in at least two years. So good. So cheap! My one regret is that the steamed-dumpling trolley didn't make its way to us until the end. Okay, two regrets: I didn't get a bowl of eight-treasure rice pudding. The cart kept being out. Did not try the tripe or the chicken feet. Chicken feet beyond me.
Also, I must learn to make pork bao like that. Or we could just go back after church next Sunday.
And so an inextricable link was formed in Selkie's brain: church = chow. Of such simple stuff is a convert made.
*ducks*

sovay today, though I don't want to make a big deal out of it. Send good thoughts!

I'm not actually converting, and as far as the pork bao, I swear it'll never happen again. :)
