I have a huge meeting tomorrow. In dress code. At 8:15 AM. My pile of materials for this meeting is literally two feet high, and that's if you squash the binders down a lot.
I have revisions due, and actual revising has happened, forcing me to examine the structure and purpose of my work as a whole.
I should be asleep.
And I just spent two hours watching the coolest movie.
Yes, I have my priorities on backwards.
The movie, for those keeping score, is Peter Pan -- the live-action one that just came out at Christmas? It's really rather good, and follows the theatrical conceit of having Wendy's Father and Hook portrayed by the same actor.
When I was a little girl, I had a beautiful copy of Peter Pan in a green leather cover, with madly-colored illustrations by someone very like P.J. Lynch. This film version, whatever its other shortcomings, is the one closest to duplicating the visual euphoria I remember.
