I would just like to note that a single dose of the single pill I take daily to regulate valve tension costs 2.71 . For a third-inch-long pill. Without insurance, two dollars and seventy-one cents a day.

I know. Prescription costs are completely out of control. My asthma meds, WITH insurance, cost $155 a month. Without, nearly $700. That's four prescriptions, but one of them alone is something like $340, so, you know, $11 a day or some damn thing. I don't think anyone should have to pay as much to breathe as they probably pay for housing. Breathing seems like it sort of ought to be a right, not a privilege.

Happily, many of my asthma symptoms have gone bye with the tonsils gone (no idea, unless it's that the fool things were trapping allergens in the airway?) and I'm not needing a whole lot of crap I was before, but still, it enrages me.

I take 8 pills a day for Crohn's. Each of which costs about $1.50 . . .
