What Selkie Did on Her Memorial Day Vacation

-- 6 loads of laundry

-- made cinnamon-raisin bread

-- made coq au vin

-- read The Lighthouse Land (review forthcoming)

-- slept late only once

-- went swimming

-- honed her listmaking skills, apparently

I resent the implication that tomorrow is Tuesday and therefore work will happen.

The French government ruled a few years ago that one could sell "coq au vin" made with a hen. Jeffrey Steingarten was distressed. (Have you ever read him? You'd like him.)
