[livejournal.com profile] villainny, [livejournal.com profile] schiarire, [livejournal.com profile] corchen and my wife have been lovely these past few days, which have been stressful to the breaking point. I'm sure everyone knows the details, re: flatmate, bad time for my wife, crap health for me. Most of our other temporary flatmates have been perfectly good as well.

However, since everyone knows Selkie is crazy and will speak her mind loudly when you finally prod and provoke her out of the kitchen, and either accepts that or doesn't, do you want to know where my wife is right now? After spending the past week running around?

Running around some more, since [livejournal.com profile] sir_gareth is an asshat and can't be arsed and would rather lounge by the pool and get shitfaced drunk.

Since [livejournal.com profile] chaos_pockets' illness, which is 100% not her fault (and we love our flatmate!) my wife has been the one shouldering the logistical load for the Millicon pickups, and the way some people have acted has disgusted me so bloody much I'm not even sure I want to go to Millicon.

So.

Staying in our flat is not your gods-given right. You're not doing us a favour. It's rather the other way around. This only applies to one person.

Coming back to our flat as a crash pad when you're too drunk or, again, can't be arsed to use self-control in some other way = not acceptable. All our available space is currently taken up by nice, considerate, friendly guests who comport themselves as adults.

We have lives, jobs and issues too. Other things are going on besides you needing a ride/ deciding not to follow through on a promised commitment/acting like a prat (fill in appropriate blank).

When we welcomed people into our home, we really meant it. You are welcome. You are all welcome. Eat our grub, drink our drink, watch our cable -- that was expected and encouraged.

But please act like something slightly above the better class of show dog. And respect my wife, above all, and all the stuff she's doing for you -- or I'll get really really angry.
