I have a tin of treacle, and I'm not afraid to use it. Whole Foods is discontinuing their pact with the overpriced devil Tate and Lyle sugars in this area, so their stuff was going half-price. $3.07 the tin. I don't go through it that fast, being that I have only three treacle recipes in my repertoire (and only one black-treacle recipe) so it should last me until its expiry, as the tin of black treacle did.

Steaming puddings kind of terrifies me. My wife explained the physics to me, though, over the last half-hour, so this should be okay.
Also, to every recipe that specifies 'chill overnight', I want to specify 'except in our fridge, where three hours will do you just fine.'
