Lekach for
kraada baked, cheerily doused with whiskey, and ready to pack up tomorrow morning. Our own loaf, slightly sunken in the middle (own fault, poked it too hard with a skewer) is just as beautifully moist but not quite so drunken.
Now for challah for tomorrow. *dusts hands*
Was vastly amused by chabad's site, to which I went for a gefilte recipe (I'm sorry, it's just like my grandmother's, whut); in a challah recipe, the gentle reader is instructed to 'Separate the challah and make a blessing.'
Now, I know they meant 'take challah', or however you want to say it, but it came right above the part that described shaping it into braids. Someone, somewhere, is going to bensh and then go 'Durh. Separate challah. Okay, is that when I make it into strands for the braids?'
*Quells inner editor so as to have a sweet new year*
Also, happy birthday
copinggoggles.
