(I'd post a poll, but my paid time runs out tonight, so.)

We're having cookies. We're having latkes and little cheese wafer things. We'll probably have Chex Mix. But I will be making one or two Big Desserts.

Pick one:

Flourless Chocolate Cake With Alcoholic Whipped Cream

Traditional Christmas Pudding

Chestnut Cheesecake

Chestnut-chocolate Vacherin

Red and Green Poke Cake (And If You Think I'm Above That, You're Wrong)

You're just afraid of the poke cake.

(Yes. I have, but you provided me a link to experiencing the horror all over again.)

...........you have no idea how much I wish I lived somewhere which would allow me to attend these FEAST EXTRAVAGANZAS of yours, Selkie m'dear, but I will content myself with saying that IF I were present THEN I would be most in favour of the flourless chocolate cake with alcoholic cream.

I like anything with alcohol in it. So I'm going for the one with the alcohol whipped cream.

Though...Poke Cake is fun to say.

I vote for Traditional Christmas Pudding. Please to be sharing the recipe with me, as well, on account of I don't live in England anymore so I'll have to find my pudding by other means.

Also, because the idea of serving latkes and Christmas pudding at the same meal appeals to me, somehow. Something like painting the roasted egg from the seder plate.

Whooo-hooooo!!! Poke cake! (We call it Jello cake in the Midwest but I immediately knew what you were talking about). My Mom makes us suet pudding every Christmas, carrying on my grandma's tradition. Have you heard of that? It's yummy.
