I considered making a 'What I got N for Christmas' post, but she might find it. I will say that I think my choices were brilliant. Very My Wife.

I also managed to cover my mother and sister without spending any money (the price is right, she said grimly) and N and I sent hand-painted-by-us ceramic houses for my grandmother's Dickens village. I have tackled The Best Friend's Annual Misdirected and Waylaid Parcel, and in-laws are (jointly) covered, including a jar of mincemeat for my FiL's birthday.

The rest of you get Holiday Treats From the Kitchen of Selkie. Maybe next year I'll win the lottery and you'll all get diamond-studded Kitchenaid Artisan Stand Mixers...

On a side note, [livejournal.com profile] kraada cannot be shopped for. Although I think I might get him those Jesus band-aids.

Now to clean the house, make the cheesecake, and commence operation Cookie Monster.

Oh I think a diamond studded kitchen aid would cause many lacerations. I have to pick mine up and move it frequently in our tiny NYC kitchen. It is red! Though I don't think it is the artisan one that they show on commercials.

I tried to find you a Holiday Gift and I really couldn't think of anything besides, like, a Chillow for your recuperating ass. I don't know what you've been reading, I don't know what you have room for in your apartment and/or if you'll be relocating soon. So I figured you could stick a messianic figure where it hurt. Um, wow. . .

And for the record, I will be relocating, though not until May at the earliest, August at the latest . . . definitely by August though . . .

There are bacon bandages!!! OMG! Love!
I bought him a present a year ago and never sent it. I also bought your wife a present three or more years ago that I still have. And I have a stack of unsent greeting cards that have been through fire and flood (literally!). I suck.

You do not suck. You have large extenuating circumstances. *hugs*
