The Stars and the Cookie Jar

I did. It was that kind of morning. And then, after running to the grocery store once to get the stuff for innerbrat's mince pies, I had to go back and get... girl stuff. That was when Army Co-Worker pointed out that my shirt was, yes, on backwards.

*headdesk*

Oh, and two-trips-to-the-grocery-store-before-9:00AM later, I forgot the lemon.

I'm not going back for the lemon. We'd better have one in the crisper at home. (I should point out that no one should ever, for any reason including a sudden famine in downtown Alexandria, buy the fresh produce from the grocery store across the way, so perhaps it's just as well.)

My wife really did make my morning, though. She packed my lunch, and as I was running around getting ready and forgetting crucial things, she was bustling around, wearing one of my shirts, assembling tonight's dinner in the slow cooker. It added some tranquility to my day.
