There's a similar, auto-generated thing on the internet, but this is the result of YEARS of CAREFUL RESEARCH.

Tell me your Starbucks drink, and I will tell you who you are.

See, [livejournal.com profile] neenie and [livejournal.com profile] tropes ? The Internets is a hive of peer pressure. It is a gateway drug and it is YOUR FAULT.

But, but, but I have four or five things I'll regularly order, and that's not counting the 'I just feel like such-and-such today'.

I suppose my most usual one is Venti Iced-blended Chai with a pump or two of one of the following flavors: cinnamon, gingerbread, pumpkin spice, vanilla, chocolate.

You share many personality traits with Haley Joel Osment, whose order that was in the summer of 2003. XD

But seriously! You prefer the grounding traits of tea over the rush of coffee -- and you're probably a little good at self-deception. You're gentler than you think you are. And you need constant intellectual stimulus.

I'll go for it- I get a purple herbal tea (I think it's called passion, or passion-fruit or something, but asking for a passion tea just sounds too much like asking for a love potion or something), in whatever sized cup they give me.

You're a student (or don't have a ton of discretionary funds), don't want to worry whether your next meal is milk or meat and in how long it will be, and on the personality side of things, you're a realist and you prefer to stay in control of your situation at all times, preferably through the simplest means possible.

I don't think I can drink anything from Starbucks. I don't exist.

You drink chai, you dope. You just fly under the radar.

Depending on the day: hazelnut latte with an extra shot, or a venti dark roast with room for cream (half and half), but no sugar.

You're bitter!

J/k. You don't have a lot of time to waste, want bang for your buck, but are also fairly pensive.

Um... either:
- hot chocolate
- pumpkin spice or cinnamon dolce latte

Really, whatever is the least complicated thing I can do, no adds, subs, or anything. In a crush I'll grab an Izze and scram ASAP

...You were born and reared in the deep South by people who inculcated you with a passion to do what you like, as long as you've thought about it, tried other things along the way, and don't make too much of a fuss, because that inconveniences people and it isn't nice. You probably don't say anything when the sprinklie things don't get put on your pumpkin spice or cinnamon dolce. :D

What size? Size matters. :) If it's a small, it means you don't want to spend so much of your money because you feel guilty, don't want to make a fuss, don't feel like you deserve it... or don't like hot milk all that much. :D

...I am extremely curious! I don't really go to Starbucks, but when I get taken along with people, I get the vanilla bean thing with extra whipped cream.

When I go to Starbucks, which is rare, I usually get some kind of sharp herbal tea. The tea is less important, generally, than the fact that I now have somewhere warm and dry to sit. And both of those are less important than the other item I buy, which is CHOCOLATE COVERED GRAHAM CRACKERS OM NOM NOM NOM.

You like shelter and permanence, but you also like to embrace the hobo soup parts of your character. And Jo's Chocolate Grahams are nummy.

Lately my drink of choice has been a Grande, 3-pump peppermint, 1-pump white mocha steamer with extra whipped cream and peppermint sprinkles.

You know, I saw you do that for [livejournal.com profile] tropes and about died.
I've always wanted to know what I'm telling the Starbucks folks about myself when I order. ;) (And man, my mom so did not believe me when I told her my usual Starbucks drink was fiddly until she recently heard me order it for the first time. *snerk*)

Grande non-fat no water extra pump chai latte.

posted by [identity profile] flt.livejournal.com at 05:40pm on 12/03/2008
I used to drink grande 5-pump no water chai tea lattes - which is the same as the "extra pump" no water... except I went with the whole milk. With the skim I go down to the normal 4-pump version because without the extra fat I find the chai a little harsh on my belly.. OH, and Hi, I don't know you yet - but you've got good taste in Starbucks drinkin' ;-)

I refuse to buy from Starbucks. I hate the burned taste of all their coffee. If I was absolutely forced to buy coffee there at gunpoint I would order a latte. No sweeteners or syrups or flavorings. :/

I don't have a single drink that I get all the time, but I tend towards flavored frappucinos. When they have the pumpkin spice, I probably gravitate towards that most. Usually tall, but grande if I'm feeling extravagant.

Sorry! This one got collapsed with ... uh... more comments on my LJ than EVER.

Pumpkin spice people like quiet time to themselves, and you may also have a bit of a Peter Pan complex.

Double Chocolaty Chip Frappuccino® Blended Crème. With whipped cream, of course.

Um, I don't remember if they come in different sizes (it's been a long time since I've been in a Starbucks), but if they do, I don't always get the same size. Sometimes small, sometimes large.

A generous, spunky soul with a touch of the Peter Pan complex, a desire to please, and (again) someone raised to worry about having too much of a good thing. I don't know if that's a gendered or a generational tendency.

*grin!* Either a grande iced cafe con leche (sweetened) with nonfat milk, or a grande nonfat caramel machiato.

AWESOME. Though I don't know how much you'll get from mine because you don't have flat whites in America because you're STRANGE (I guess...latte is the closest equivalent?). Anyway, my usual order is a tall skim flat white, occasionally with vanilla.

posted by [identity profile] strange-selkie.livejournal.com at 08:38pm on 12/03/2008
A flat white is mostly milk with like, a quarter brewed coffee?

I do not order drinks at Starbucks. If they have chocolate chocolate chip muffins I will occasionally get one, but traditionally I am only in Starbucks to look for a bathroom.

tall latte with an extra shot. no whip, no flavor, no sweetener. breve if i'm feeling saucy.

but what I really want is some chantico!!!!

posted by [identity profile] strange-selkie.livejournal.com at 06:10pm on 13/03/2008
(WOW, I miss chantico. It was a bitch to prepare, but so tasty good.)

Double tall lattes mean you either have, or want to project, a driven personality; you don't actually need to waste your time/money on what's popular, and you like things done right and on time.

If I'm being good? Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Latte. But my all-around fave is the Pumpkin Spice.

Another one of the thinky quiet time people! You would prefer the simple things in life if you didn;t think so hard all the time. I can't analyze the Skinny phenomenon, because it just happened, but skim-sugar-free people tend to second guess their decisions about life, health, the universe and everything.

You have a generally positive outlook on life, and you feel more connected to the social rituals of "getting a coffee" than to the taste or the caffeine part. You're sociable and (though you have better things to do with your cash than buy more coffee than you need) probably a generous-hearted person.
