Tomorrow is our third wedding anniversary. It is also Yom Kippur.
Throw me a FRICKIN' BONE, universe.

I was out of the country, as it happened, but I think my parents and my brother may have been the only ones who attended. Which my aunt managed to be bitter about for the rest of her life, not that she shouldn't have expected it. Sigh.

Congrats to you both.

Alternatively, you could take the idea that one's wedding is like a personal Yom Kippur, as far as wiping away your sins and starting fresh that day, and see Yom Kippur as in some ways relevant to your anniversary... I don't know- just an idea, coming from someone who isn't married, but I thought it was an idea worth throwing out there.

Happy anniversary, nonetheless.

I've rarely celebrated a birthday or anniversary on the actual day, whereas obviously holy days fall when they must. Our 10th anniversary (observed) was like 2 weeks late because the kid was sick.
