Your quick Monday update on protest and social reform

1937: My great-aunt and her partner go to the capital to protest the broadening of § 175 StGB, are arrested, beaten, held without trial, and eventually released on a bribe of $50,000 [not that this made any difference in the end]

2008: My wife and I go to the capital to protest the passing of Proposition 8 in California, get soaked, get our pictures taken, get a coffee, go hang out and eat some Korean food [today I'm a little sore]
