Nope, not at Wiscon. Somehow I've used all my leave for this year...
So. Our office has dental, but it's pay-ahead-and-be-reimbursed, so in practice, we don't have dental. I have a crater in one tooth left over from working at that think tank that really DIDN'T offer dental. I mean a crater; it hurts. Things get in there. It smells. I get self-conscious. Insert pithy commentary on the American health care system. I can't even get an extraction easily or cheaply, because the tooth in question has a funny root ball thing going on, which is why I didn't have it root-canaled years ago. I've needed to see a maxillofacial surgeon about it. And do you know how many maxillofacial surgeons will work on obese heart patients who need premedication up the jahoobie?
That many.
Today, it hurt so much that I actually went and got some of the topical toothache stuff. I was probing around in the tooth crater to make sure it was all comprehensively slathered with numbing stuff, and something went crunch!! and I thought I had made a bad thing worse.
Nope. There was a SESAME SEED that had resisted all my brushing and swishing since the last time I had a hamburger, which.... *calculates* .... was last Thursday.
Gaghk.
But it hurts less now!
