In bad news, my laptop, my BRAND NEW LAPTOP's power cord needs to be on an odd slant -- about one medium hardcover book -- before it will actually charge the battery.

In other news: the eye is fine, lloks like all the finger-crossing helped! The chocolate has been bought (Ritter Sport Marzipan included, Ayuh!) and is waiting for instructions. And the email address is back on.
