The Stars and the Cookie Jar

So! Today was good. We went and saw the Lord of the Rings Exhbit at the MOS, which was mobbed, but very cool. Also, Arwen's costumes vs. Legolas' costume = not so much difference. Galadriel, however, she knew how to dress. And how to lead elves over pack-ice for the sake of a bitchin' clan feu -- oh, do I need to shut up?

The jewelry was actually more impressive than the weaponry, since the weaponry was so lovingly photographed by PJ in the film, since PJ is a great big fanboy is a director who values verisimilitude. And we did one of the three interactive WETA-tivities. Oh and Wax Sean Bean? Soooooo creepeh.

Then we went to the North End. We did not go the wrong way down any one ways this time. We ate at... what was the name of that restaurant? Have you ever noticed that? You eat in this great little hole in the wall in the North End, and then you step out the door and it disappears? Anyway, great food. We paahked the caah at Parmenter and Salem, so it can't have been too far from there. And there were inexplicable ceiling murals.

And then we braved Mike's Pastry for cannoli florentine and gelati, and found that it was Cash Only WTF, and had a U2 sing-along in the car. (With harmony! Harmony, aaah...) *sings the melody line* *staunchly* *cos is consistently a quarter tone flat in harmony and can hear it, hear it, sooo annoying*

And now we're home.
