selkie at 08:54am on 08/11/2004I had nine hours of hard, flat, dreamless sleep to make up for a restless weekend; now I may as well go in to work. It wasn't nice sleep or great sleep, but the hours passed. Can't tell if my back hurts from the hours in traffic, or if it would hurt anyway because she's not around to loosen me up.
Anyway, I saw my beloved this weekend. That makes everything easier, to a point. Now I need to crack down and finish 'Seal Wife'.
Highlights included New York City seen an entirely different way (without me spazzing overmuch; I mean, I spazzed in WTC station but that may well have happened anyway) and bracingly moronic anti-Semitism right at table. Yeah, some people are off our holiday card list. But it was fun all the same, and at least I was fed for it.
But better a dinner of herbs where love is, than a roast ox and hatred therewith.
That's that Jesus fellow. Am I not cleverly multireligional?
...Ooh. I wonder if we have to do two sets of cards, or if we can get away with a non-religious card with a dove and some holly on.
Time to be late for being early to work.
